O autor, diretor presidente do Velho Club, que funcionava na Praça Tiradentes nº40, informou que o estabelecimento foi violentamente invadido pela polícia, que confiscou seus imóveis e utensílios para a Polícia Central. Depois foram para o Depósito Público e vendidos em leilão. O Velho Club dava bailes, concertos, festas de carnaval, etc. O juiz indeferiu o pedido e o autor entrou com recurso.
